Art & Design

2010 – Present

Out of hours creative practice that connects music, art and design.

open_in_new

P739 Studio pulls together personal projects that have taken place alongside the day job as a designer, including two long-running music events and a radio show. The name P739 is a nod to time spent as a postman. The code is used for the small red 'no answer' cards pushed through letterboxes. Emphasis is placed on play, community and personal development.

Senior Designer

2016 – 2025

Professional practice as part of a tight, collaborative team of designers, developers and everyone in between.

open_in_new

I’ve grown with the agency, wearing different hats along the way as our proposition has changed over the years (from a more general digital agency to specialising in e-commerce). This has seen me working, at various times, more as a UX designer, a UI designer and Interaction designer. It’s a small company and a tight team – we work collaboratively, in an Agile way and have deep specialist experience but often blend roles. This means I’m hands on throughout the entire design and build process. As part of this team, I’ve worked on projects for clients such as Graff, Belstaff, G-Shock, British Paralympic Association, Team Sky, Foundry (IDG), Resident Advisor, Bowers & Wilkins, Eight Roads, Klarna and British Science Association. I often set up the design environment for the project team, develop and maintain pattern libraries, and occasionally lay the foundations for a design system. Some front-end web development training gives me a greater understanding and common language with the tech team, improving our collaboration and handover. I also enjoy getting to grips with motion graphics, animation, and in particular, prototyping tools. Within that, I’m design tool-agnostic, using whatever is right for the job, but Figma and Framer are my go-to tools.
